Sorry for the delay, but finally I made it as well.
So: on 25th Oct the entire family (together with my parrents and my bro: Benedek) took off for Antalya, Turkey to discover Hip-Notics Cable Park that is said by a lot to be one of the best cables in the world. I was very eager to see and experience due to Bakró Bazsi's report on the pages of Wakeboarder Magazine or Fetzy's enthusiastic stories
Upon our arrival at Antalya our rental car was waiting for us and after a half English-half Turkish difficult conversation we could arrange the paperwork. Our family GPS was working perfectly all the time (OK, almost all the time) so we found our target without any problem. The view was fascinating.
We packed in the bungallow at hyperspeed and after finding our boards and boardshorts we rushed to the start. Even on the water I could hardly believe that I was riding in 27-28 degrees and 22-23 degree warm water at the end of October. And it was not only me who liked it a lot: Benedek also realy enjoyed the ride, check the photos in the Gallery!
The Park was full of riders from all over Europe: Englixh, French, Bulgarians led by Emil Tzolov, Duch and German. Later Bernard hinterberger and Dominik Gührs also arrived who were actually hungry for riding as they did not use their boards since the beginning of the month - however it did not show in their tricks ;).
Of course wakeboard played the main role of the week, I was trying to use every minute of the week and the special conditions. The cristal clear water, top operators (!), super obstacles (I managed the great A-Frame!!), the night ride (no pictures unfortunately) - all were great.
Besides the riding we also looked around. If you happen to be there you moust visit Antallya, Side and Aspendos, all great places to visit.
Our week has passed almoost invisibly so we found ourselves packing on 1st November to leave for home - of course only after a good morning ride.
We landed late in the afternoon at Ferihegy, Budapest in 6 degrees which meant 20 degrees difference from Antalya's temperature. The jam we got stuck in for more than an hour on the way home made the 'Home sweet home' feeling even more dramatic. Anyhow I could have done with a few more weeks at this perfect place.
Hip-Notics, I'll be back! THX Baris Emil and Murath for the lots of help and great hospitality. CU soon!
