Fetzysworld - Training Camp

Thanks to my parrents I had the chance to train at the Jetlake cable in Austria for a week in July. My insructor was Daniel Fetz alias Fetzy, the guy from the movies Statement and Hypnose, the cable and boat silver medalist of this year's Austrian Nationals.

We started from Budapest on Sunday early morning so I had hardly enough rest from Saturday's cup stop at Bamboo Island in Siófok. The rute description we received from Fetzy was perfect so we found our way
straight to his boat lake. We were all amased from the view waiting for us there. A waterski/wakeboard lake devided from each other only by a narrow dam. All this in a picturesque landscape and entire tranquility. And of course the usual cold Austrian weaher...

I could not resist the invitation and checked out the lake with my first ever boat-ride. As for so many cable riders the boat was a bit wierd for me at the beginning. But then the rutine has payed off and I got used to
this as well. Not to say I could do with a lot more practice as I liked the boat style very much. It is real fun!

In the following seven days we have followed a very tight and strict training plan with Fetzy. Wegot up not too early in the morning, breakfast and analisys of the previous day's videos, tramp training and we headed to the Jetlake cable for a minimum of 1,5-2 hour long training session both in the morning and in the afternoon. Thanks to Fetzy's Headzone helmets I got continuous instructions from him on the water. This was ver unusual and sometimes disturbing but no doubt was it time saving and very efficient at the same time.

The Jetlake cable is a 4 pilon course originally set as a slalomski cable, so it is not as high and tight as I was used to. The obstaclres are really cool and there are quite a lot of them(kickers, Aframe, pussy box,
rainbow). Both the cable and the surroundigs are nicely in order with all the necessary infrastructure around.

For the third day I fully got in friendship with the cable and the obstacles so we could start with the real work. The goal as of course to stabilize my current tricks and to learn as many new ones as possible
within a week!

And guess what, I made it! Both of Fetzy's and my efforts were not in vain, as I learnt some nice new tricks there: ts fs 540 abd bs 360 from the right kicker, sw backlip and sw backlip 90 out on the rainbowroll to
revert and the one wake BS 180 after the boat.

All in one I had a great time at Fetzysworld (and I hope Fetzy has also good experiences about working together) despite the cold rainy weather and the not too "Hungaia" cuisine... Take the chance and train with Fetzy if you can. I am also trying to return there still this summer. I hope I can make it.

I'd like to thank mst of all my parrents, that I could be there and developand have such a great week at Fetzysworld.
